Here is how to select multiple files contiguously and non contiguously.
If you don't understand the term folders read the previous page "Make Folders"
Once you feel up to speed here try my page on File Viewing which is found under the Kool Tips section.
There are more than a few ways to get to the folder that contains the files you wish to delete, move, copy or whatever. www.youtube.com/watch This folder may be at a remote site (email addresses on Hotmail) or anywhere on your machine,
it's irrelevant where and I''m using explorer for this example but in the video I use a different method to achieve the same end.
Click on start with the right mouse button and select Explore.
This will open like this.
Then select the folder where the files are located
Then click on the folder (comdirect) is my case.
Change the folder view from tile to list
Select the first file you wish to work with
Hold down the shift key and select the last file and way you go!
That my friend is contiguous file selection, you can now do what you will. Cut (control + x ) copy (control + c ) print (control + p) or paste elsewhere (control + v) and of course delete (Del) or (Supr on Spanish board)
Non Contiguous- Select the first file you wish to work with, as before.
This time hold down the control key not the shift key. Click on individual files and there you go again.
